At least you aren't going with the usual Monsters. I too am getting sick of seeing them on every truck online.

I lost 1.5mpg on my average, and 3.60mpg highway with my 20" wheels and 33" Toyo's.

Go with the Nitto Terra Grapplers, awesome A/T. When I get a set of FX4 wheels ( possilby yours? ) If they are low on tread I may wrap them in the Terra Grap A/Ts or Coopers. Highly doubt BFG but in 285/65/18 it is possible. Problem is, BFG A/T KOs are an awesome tire, but they look hideous on any aftermarket wheel, only look best on stock wheels, no matter what truck. Expecially FX4 wheels, and Z71 wheels.

3.) Where is a good place to get wheels & tires? I can't find consistent prices really been going by this site RIMZONE

Good info Darren! I am going to be selling my wheels very soon. I have my buddy's king ranch wheels that are just sitting in his garage he wants me to get rid of. They have pirelli tires on them though They have more tread left than my rugged trails though

Use this: http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html

The 285, 295, etc is the width in mm, so divide by 25.4 to get inches. So a 315 would be approx 12.5" wide.

Using the calc I linked to... you set the first value at 315, set your last value to 18, and play with the middle till you see the diameter you want.

So a 315-60-18 is approx 33x12.5

So I am looking at the Trail Grapplers too, I think they are a bad ass looking tire for about $100 less than the open countrys

I saw they have these sizes over at Rimzone

LT295/70R18
LT285/65R18
35x12.50R18 (these are too big but that's what they have)

What do you think would be the best all around size between those two?

AZFX4's truck from over at F150online, Don't tell me these don't look dead sexy!

Well I talked to AZFX4 and he says he has the 295s and he had to do some minor trimming so I may go with those or I may go with the 285s

Thoughts? I am going with this combo now I think Any idea on the tread life of these tires?
