Hyundai's problems were basically with the interior trim, very poor and ugly until mid 90's. Their cars used to look essentially like a Mitsubishi-powered Lada. About the RWD setup: it's still perceived as a luxury feature, since a lot of models are turning to FWD due to manufacturing cost purposes. Hyundai had a FWD flagship model some years ago, badged Equus in Korea and Centennial in some export markets, based in a Mitsubishi setup, but to face a competition against Lincoln (currently turning to FWD), Cadillac, Mercedes-Benz and BMW they decided to go RWD..

They could Gold plate the thing and i would still have nothing to do with it. yes they have good marketing but good marketing does not make quality cars. I have been in kias and hyundai's and you get what you pay for. They are cheap rattle traps with no resale value. No Thanks. JMO
You apparrently havent been in any new models recently. Your ford has 10x more plastic inside it then this new hyundai genesis. Also no offense, but from the picture in your sig, is that not the model year where the f150's folded like pop cans in crash tests?

If you dont like foreign cars, thats fine, but dont throw out false statements with no truth behind them. Ive never owned a foreign car, so im not some fanboy of them, i respect all car brands though for what they have to offer. EVERY car maker has produced some junker cars with terrible reliability and american cars are certainly not exempt from that fact.

I don't care much for the Genesis Sedan, but I do like the coupe a ton! Those were already bad ass cars with the V6 in em. I can't imagine a 429hp V8 crammed into one! Should be interesting indeed.

I looking into trading our 2009 Altima in for the new Sonata turbo. Looked at one last week and fell in love with it. My mother picked up a Sonata late last year and it's a great car so far, with the exception of a few things.

I like the Azera more than the Sonata. And back here the Azera has been offered cheaper than the Sonata.
