All the cars/trucks/SUV's the base models have cloth. No seat/steering wheel/rear & front windscreen heaters, leather, memory side/rear view/seat controls, crap stereos, no rear seat heat nor a/c, etc. Plus a 100k or more warranty + corrosion. For a base model car/truck/SUV from 38-42K, you cannot get an american car for that. I spent just about 30 to 45 minutes looking at base models to find which ones charges for leather, heated seats/steering wheels, rear heat/ac, etc. I had a really hard time finding a car under 60K with all this stuff.

Maybe I'm just picky. IDK. But I find it silly to pay more for a feature than what some cars offer as standard for a lower price, better warranty, etc.

Kick me in the balls if you want, that's just what I have found, driven, and researched.

Well do a little more research. That's not true.

I agree. In past history, amercian cars suck. But american trucks and suv's are top of the line and all have rear ac/heat, leather, good stereos etc. And yes you can get them for way less than 60k. And they can go 300,000 miles also with no problems.

This isn't up for discussion, it's fact.

I'm not bashing you for liking foreign cars cause i really don't care, but there is no equal to american trucks and suv's.

She said she just did Her research, did you?

Everything at TMC is up for discussion. That's the point.

Nick, it doesn't need to become a pissing match.

Have you driven a new Hyundai in the past year or two?

Not talking just cars, all vehicles in general. And I do not want to make this a one up match or whatever, but I know prices and what all the options are.

Show me one with every option I listed for what I paid for mine???? With all that I can do with mine.

NO IVE NEVER DRIVEN A HONDA. OR A TOYOTA.

I have no problems believing they are superb cars and trucks/SUV's. I dont care. I never said I didnt like this car in this thread.

My problem with your statement is SIMPLE.

How can you sit there and tell me that you cant buy a GM, Ford, or Dodge truck or SUV, and get one with leather, heated seats, rear A/C, BOSE steareo, and everything else you said, and not drive it 300,000 miles plus with no major problems? ANd less than $60K?

You cant!

1. This was never about YOUR preferences! If you like foreign cars fine!

2.It was never about what YOU thought you should pay!

Heres your original quote.

Leather, good stereos, dual ac units for SUV's, etc are pushing them to the top, albeit slowly. But, if you can take a car to 200-300k miles and have no problems and still have the same MPG, who cares about resale value. You have already gotten your moneys worth 10 times over compared to most makers. Plus, most over 2x as much warranty as most US makers, right from the buy, not an added on extended warranty.

Just saying.

I don't really have anything against US auto makers, but I do have something against any maker who will only guarantee their car for 3 years or 36k miles. Doesn't make me have any confidence in them.

Heres my response.

Well, I'll agree with you on the CAR market, but America has the trucks and SUV market wrapped up. All the things you mentioned in the first two sentences, can be said for American trucks and SUV's.

And that's simply because thats been where the America is going towards. American automakers cars have been suffering for years now.

Where did I say foreign cars were inferior? Where did I try to start a pissing match? Basically what I said in that quote was that American trucks ans SUV's have BEEN doing that.

All I did was say that AMERICAN TRUCKS AND SUV's do the same thing ALREADY that you quoted below.

Leather, good stereos, dual ac units for SUV's, etc are pushing them to the top, albeit slowly. But, if you can take a car to 200-300k miles and have no problems and still have the same MPG, who cares about resale value.

WHat YOU feel comfy paying is irrelevant. Thats your opinion. The FACT is that you can get a fully loaded AMERICAN vehicle ALREADY for less than $60K (way less) and still go 300,000 miles.
