Hey Hunter,

I've been scarce as of late, but I just saw your post in my audio rebuild thread. I think you posted it about two months ago.

Yeah I love my FoxBox. It's fits perfectly and adds a perfect amount of bass for me. I don't go for head-rattling or window-shattering.....but it does get strong when I need it to. It's more about low-end fill for me.

I'll try to get a few pictures for you...

Nice truck, btw!!

edit:

I'd guess it sticks out 1-1.5" from the seats. Mine sticks out a bit farther because I have about 3/4" worth of sound deadening on the floor. I can't get it all the way back.

It holds two 10" subs. IIRC I'm running JL 10W3v3s. Reason being there is only 6-1/8" mounting depth for the subs, so you have to find some decent ones that will fit.

That's about what I'm looking for. I'm not too worried about it sticking out from under the seat reason being I don't ever have passengers that ride in the back. How do you like the JL's? I'm tryin to find some decent priced subs without going bankrupt

I love 'em, man. They aren't top end ($$$) by any means, but they are perfect. I have a feeling you'd be more than satisfied with them.

Dang dude, tough question. It's been about two years since I did the research on all that.

IIRC it's best to match your amp's output impedance to the total output of the subs. I believe my amp was rated at both 2 and 4-ohms, so I went with the 2-ohm subs. Since the Fox Box runs them in series, the total output of two 2-ohm subs is 4-ohms. Matched the subs to the amp.

 The 2ohm sub is rated at 500w RMS; 4ohm is 300w. I'm wantin to get a Double-Din touchscreen headunit before I go adding components and subs. But I wanna get an idea of what I want first so I can save myself the headache of doin it later.

I hear you. I think the 2ohm sub is worth it. I believe the reason I went with the 2ohm is because there are a lot more options for amplifiers @ 4ohms.
