Whats wrong with the slim ballasts?

highly suseptable to heat, they need to be located in a cool location. :)

i mounted them onto the batteries of my superduty and they were shot within a week. :(

talking to DDM the raptor ballasts are built far more robust, the slims are mostly for compact applications like motorbikes atvs etc. :)

Slim ballasts suck compared to the raptors, mine didn't last long either

hmm did not know the silms were weak. I've had my slims a year now, but all 6 of my ballasts are mounted in cool places where theres air flow. I will keep that in mind for the future, thanks!

They didn't have the raptor ballasts when I ordered these a long time ago. :dunno:

The Raptor's are the same as the Apexcone aren't they? I thought it was just another name for them. I also thought that they had the large ballasts first and then came out with the small ones. :dunno:

not sure but I thought apexcone was the company that made the stuff for ddm. not totally sure onthat though

Yes Raptor/Apexcone are the same thing

where did you mount the ballasts?

I will try to get pics of the driver's side but the passenger side I just stuck and ziptied it to the post right behind the headlight and in front of the air box.
how long carl? i got mne in march or april...
I think I got mine over a year ago. :uhoh:
