Whats wrong with the slim ballasts?

highly suseptable to heat, they need to be located in a cool location.

i mounted them onto the batteries of my superduty and they were shot within a week.

talking to DDM the raptor ballasts are built far more robust, the slims are mostly for compact applications like motorbikes atvs etc.

Slim ballasts suck compared to the raptors, mine didn't last long either

hmm did not know the silms were weak. I've had my slims a year now, but all 6 of my ballasts are mounted in cool places where theres air flow. I will keep that in mind for the future, thanks!

They didn't have the raptor ballasts when I ordered these a long time ago.

The Raptor's are the same as the Apexcone aren't they? I thought it was just another name for them. I also thought that they had the large ballasts first and then came out with the small ones.

not sure but I thought apexcone was the company that made the stuff for ddm. not totally sure onthat though

I will try to get pics of the driver's side but the passenger side I just stuck and ziptied it to the post right behind the headlight and in front of the air box.

I think I got mine over a year ago.
