First you need a nice truck, like a Tacoma! Haha jk

And there it starts.

Tacomas are great trucks. Just aimed at a little different crowd.

Great info Jenna!

What about the intakes that have a down tube to pull air from below the engine? Do they actually pull cooler air or is it just a gimmick. Example: http://www.volant.com/edetail.asp?ID=535

They pull cooler air, but a good airbox design will get you just as cool of air. A shorter tube is generally better for response and higher end harmonics as well.

compairing the graph. they are really close to getting the same numbers. low 318 to 326.5 on the high side. is it worth the 1,2 or 300 bones to even put one on? is it really giveing you something on the long run or just hearing more air getting pulled in worth the bills?

That is for the buyer to determine, I am just posting the results.

Realistically, just changing out the stock intake tube should yield good results as well.

So does the flexible intake tube disrupt the airflow? A smooth tube would be better?
