I know they're popular (HIDs) since I seem to get blinded at least once a night by someone who probably has them improperly aimed/installed, but how does everybody get around Non-DOT approved? It's not like they're subtle. I haven't researched them much, but are there kits that are DOT approved?

My dad has a couple McCulloch chainsaws. One is over 20 years old. I wonder if those would last as long...............
