So I were to put long tube headers on 97 K1500. How would the exhaust shop run the pipes to the cats and muffler? I have everything going down the passenger side with single tailpipe. Plus the drivers side pipe pins the trany dust cover.

Possible future upgrade.

If you buy the right ones they bolt right up, My Banks Long tubes were a direct fit, just had to cut out some sections and clamp it together.

When I did my 98, there were no long tubes available, I ended up with tri-Y's that I really like, but the headers cross over to the passengers side then run down the length of the truck on that side. I only have to make one change. With the size of the pipes, the rear diff beats the heck out of them. I'm going to do a lightening style outlet just in front of the rear wheels to fix that.

The pipes would run similar to how they do now. They would just cross under the trans farther back.

I too have Tri-Y's and love them. They were on the truck when I bought it, but I'd buy them again!

Here's my exhaust thread.
