I'm NEW... What now?
well i thought i would share a prodject i recently had to do
so it all started with a little knock in the motor but everyone i know( most of my friends are mechanics) thought it was in the supercharger.. and said wen u get a chance to take it off
so about three weeks later me and a couple friends were about to go snow boarding and i drive up my street at about 3000 rpms my truck bogs down to roughly 1500 and knocking like crazy i was needless to sat pissed the hell off
to get her home i had to be full throttle in reverse not making any power to get up the driveway...
first thing i did was check oil and what the plugs looked like
saw this
the next day went and baught a compression tester... didnt fit
i pulled the supercharger to inspect it and see if maybe i lost a bearing.... nothing wrong
so now with no idea what was wrong i drain the oil just to give my self kicks
there were METAL SHARDS in the oil
nothing left to do but pull the motor
the process begins
after getting the motor out and pulling heads and oil pan this is what i saw
just looks like some carbon build up so we decided to pull pistons
six of the pistons we pulled were fine but the last two when we un bolted them from the crank they just fell out.. thats bad
this is what i saw
yes i broke 2 pistons
now the new motor is in i just thought id share with you guys that i put a new motor in my truck my myself with little or no help...
by the way i am 19 years old haha i have a lot of mechanic background
