Granted, my search skills are weak, but I haven't been able to find the info...

I've got a 10 bolt rear diff in my NNBS Sierra, but the shape of the diff housing and cover is completely different than the regular 8.5/8.6 10 bolt housing...

Is it still the same internals? :dunno:

Internals are pretty much the same, carrier is the same. I think spline count and axle length are different on the GMT900 vs GMT800's. But don't hold me to that I don't have my Yukon manual with me.

I'd love to help but I'm not sure what NNBS means.

Unless you seriously upgrade the hp you will not tear it up. The G80 is a lot more resilient than people give it credit, with proper maintenance it will last a lifetime.

I have a G80 in the box. I figure it won't wear out that way.

Gotta have the new one on standby when it dies :jester:

I do regular fluid changes (actually, more often than recommended) in my Blazer, and it was dying... Losing its locking ability.
