Have you tried blocking off the cab vents behind the rear seats to see if that made a difference? Seems like the canopy might change the airflow down the back of the cab which might have an effect if it is the vents.

i haven`t tried anything yet, however i have read some stories that this does cut the noise substatially. although it has consequences to the airflow design of the interior, sacraficing defrosting capabilities and such... this summer i may end up working it over to get it quieted down. not going to go experiment in winter temps right now. :D

i was going to experiment with placing something on top the frame tucked under the cab and box to see if deflecting or rejecting sound waves from the road would help. i do beleive with the canopy it is much worse...

If the canopy made it worse, that makes me think the sound is maybe being "trapped" in the bed area and reflected back through the back of the cab.. Maybe try putting something between the bed and cab?

Does the canopy have a "window" at the front? That might be making it easier for sound to more easily reflect back in through the back window..? :dunno:

the canopy has a window in the front. not sure if its sliding or not, it may be, i will do some experiments come spring time if there is not a revised TSB by then. :(

Those rain guards create a lot of wind noise. At least they did for my truck. I just listen to the musics louder than most so I don't notice it.
