Finally. JBL Components are IN. The POS Kenwoods are out, and hopefully I can get my money back on those pathetic bastards.
My system sounds awesome, and I am so pleased!

Dynamatting the door, and the 6.5" adapter for the new speaks

Epoxy Glued the tweets in the A-pillar where the Bose were, after some grinding. Backed it up with some good ol' Duct Tape just to hold it while it set up

Left the stock Bose covers on, everything still very incognito, all new components and gear are hidden...

Ran all new wire to components, to and from crossovers.

I am sure sorry I wasted my money and time on the Kenwoods. The difference is literally night and day.

So...I ripped the entire center console out again. What a damn mess!

I am going to upgrade the sub in the Stealthbox. The W1 in there, just isn't as sharp as I would like. I am going to use a 2 ohm sub, that my PDX-5 will like better. I am exhausted looking at shallow subs. A local shop let me hear the Rockford, the Alpine, and the Kenwood. I must say, the Kenwood sounds good, but the Rockford is the winner for me. I absolutely was not impressed with the Alpine.

I have been very reluctant to buy a shallow sub, but they seem to have come a long way in the last few years.

The issue with this Bose head unit that I hate the most, is the signal summing. It is phased to have more sound coming from the rear, it seems. I have played with it too much, and I am done.

I am putting a good signal processor in the spot where the PDX was, under the console, and relocationg the PDX to the center of the storage box in the back :sigh: I have been trying to avoid this, but it just needs to happen.

I just placed an order for these:

More damn interconnects. Thought I was done. I just picked up 3 more JL 12 footers.

I already have a 4 guage power set, so I should be good to go when the 3Sixty gets here.

I am in Bose Hell.

This is getting crazy. Plan C may not work.

So, this is what I find out today. I cannot run low level inputs into a processor like the 360 straight off the headunit and keep my chimes.

The only module out there is the PAC that I already have, and it is a line converter BUT it amplifies the chimes.

I know we discussed this earlier in the thread last year and I mentioned that I had no issues.

Know why? The PAC module is turned down for this, and this is why I am having the issues with my fronts being "softer" :frustration:

So, the installer I used for that stuff (great guys) are working with AudioControl to come up with a plan to use thier LC6i processor, and run me a seperate "chime speaker' hooked to only the front channel that will not blow my head off when the low fuel warning comes on, etc. The LC6i only needs one pair of inputs to control a full array of inputs to the amp.

The only issue we can see with this is, the ability to control the rear speakers when the RES is on. When the person in back watches a movie, and throws on the wireless headphones, the rear speaks drop out.
