ok, is that a good price for that kit or could I get it cheaper else where?

With a new cam, and pistons, I'd say so. I dont know if that is needed. If not then yes you could find a cheaper kit that didn't come this these. It could probably knock off another 2-3 hundred .

I got a connecting rod knocking from driving in 2nd cause drive didnt work. Sounds almost loud like a jack hammer.
