Getting a Another Truck, Need Help Please.

I do my hauling on a the bed of a full size truck.

Dave i tell you what. You remember the story about the "boy who cried wolf"? I am reminded of this. No one is going to take you seriouse if you cant count to 10 before you post. Which means when you really do have a problem that you need help with your not gonna get many people to even open up your thread.

BTW I would be willing to bet that I use my 1/2t for heavier jobs then you. Yea Ide like to have a 3/4t but my 1/2 ton will get r done.

plywood
dry wall
busted out concrete
763 bobcat
boat
utility tractor
LAWN MOWER
snap on top and bottom box full of tools, Roll cart full of tools

That is just a few examples of the stuff I use my 1/2t for. Now do you really think you NEED a 3/4t yet alone a duramax?

Ok, Pops you have a point there. I dont need a duramax or 3/4 ton HD. I'm just worried about being caught for being overweight. That's all. I live in VA and we have pretty stupid laws here.

Then what is the most you are going to tow? My 4.3 is rated at 5K and some. That would be able to pull a trailer and the same truck on it. Slowly mind you, and that alot of weight

A 4.8 or 5.3 would do it with ease, so would a 5.0 or 5.7. Just stay in the GVWR and you should be legal.

The most I'll be towing is scrap/junk etc. Lawnmowers and building materials.
