Thanks for the help. I didnt know a yukon could haul riding mowers.

OMG Dave are you kidding me? I would think a small fishing boat would weigh more then a riding mower, surely you have seen people pull boats with them before? A $5,000 budget is NOT going to get you anything worth speaking of in a 3/4-1 ton chassis. If you want something for pulling a riding mower just get you a fold up trailer and an s-10. You dont need 8 lug wheels for that.

Plus hauling plywood, drywall, engines, transmissions, towing junk vehicles w/dolly, etc. Yea, I know I can be picky at times.

If that is what your hauling, then no, you dont need a 3/4 ton. My '98 with the 4.3 can haull all that. She may not be the quickest, but it can be done.

Plus driven through a low laying creek. (4-8in deep). Plus I need to haul my 500 pound liftgate and a snow plow which 1hr 30 away.
