so today i drove about 2 1/2 hours to larrys house to get some free gears 3.73 with limited slip since mine is 3.55 with no slip but thats put aside, he let me drive his truck and it was pretty nice and all but i noticed a huge difference in the gas pedal.....like when i barely tapped his pedal i the truck accelerated but when i push my gas pedal i have to push it down about a inch for the rpm to even start rising or moving....it does that in park, reserve, neutral, drive, w.e the case maybe

but the thing is i have had this problem with my truck and i thought all f150's were like that before when i bought my truck it was the first and only f150 i drove..

and i don't know if this relates to that or not but say im driving and i stop to park and throw my truck in park...the idle either goes extremely low then back up or goes low then just dies.....

anyone may know whats up?

You should have electronic throttle control on yours... Might be a programming issue.

That, or your throttle motor needs cleaning/replacing.

I'm not to familiar with Fords, but I've seen dirty throttle bodies cause this in GM's. Do Fords have a TPS sensor and a IAC valve? :dunno:

Maybe you have Toyota gas pedal in yours  J/K

Not sure what the issue is? What year is your truck?

Do you have a tune on your truck...

I'm pretty sure I remember a slight problem like this before I got my tune, and then the throttle response was a LOT better after I was tuned.

Not sure if that is the same problem you are having... but something to think about

My Fire Department has a 2005 Crown Vic (first year of electronic throttle) that is the exact same way. You push the pedal in about 10-15% and the actual throttle open about 40-50% (it seems). But on other squads I have driven...it's more like your truck.

04 where bad with throttle delay but your gryphon should have fixed most if not all the delay you had. maybe start by cleaning and checking everything listed in the above posts :dunno:
also maybe try cleaning the MAF sensor that helped a lot on my brothers 04
