Winter fuel mix could be part of that but the cold weather is the main reason IMO. Your engine takes longer to heat up and is pretty inefficient until warmed up to operating temps.I thought I'd bring this back up, now that we're using winter fuels.
Do your average fuel consumption change in the winter? Mine does. I'll get anywhere between 11-15 combined mpg in the summer, and 9-12.5/13.5 in the winter. I blame winter fuel mix for that.![]()
Idling, waiting for the truck to warm up can impact it a lot, too..
I'll have to agree with both of you on your oppinions as well. I never did get good mileage from any 350 I've ever owned.
Odd, my buddies old '93 Silverado with a 350 would consistantly get 18mpg, even when it got the shit beat out of it.
