13 to 15 mpg here in a lot of stop and go traffic, even on the highway.
My 2006 with 5.3l and 3.42's usually gets 19.5 to 20mpg. 95% of my driving is highway miles, I tend to get better mpg when doing 70+ mph, oddly it gets worse the slower I go.![]()
Winter fuel mix could be part of that but the cold weather is the main reason IMO. Your engine takes longer to heat up and is pretty inefficient until warmed up to operating temps.I thought I'd bring this back up, now that we're using winter fuels.
Do your average fuel consumption change in the winter? Mine does. I'll get anywhere between 11-15 combined mpg in the summer, and 9-12.5/13.5 in the winter. I blame winter fuel mix for that.

Idling, waiting for the truck to warm up can impact it a lot, too..
