I usually get about 17-18 in the city and have reached between 22 and 24 on the highway...

It almost seems like this truck loves to roll cause at 75 fuel mileage falls but at 80 there is a slight increase...

16-19 mpg. about 75/25% city/highway.

I am in that range as well...and couldn't be happier. I am trying my hardest to make some of this so-called "global warming" (freeze warning for northern Minnesota on 6/2)

And my mileage is about the same as my stripped down, black and white Ford Crown Vic...which was lighter and had a smaller engine. I do miss that car though...:

Says a lot about the efficiency of a GM pushrod.

I get 14-16 depending on city/highway weather..etc...

4.8L 4x4 Auto 3.42
I'm about the same. I can push it and get about 16 in the city but that is real light foot driving. My highway driving, no matter the speed, nets me a max of about 17 mpg. That aspect is sort of frustrating. I've done 5-10 under the speed limit even and it doesn't change one bit.

I have to agree those 5.3 are pretty good on gas. Last year had a guy following me to ND for pheasants, he got right around 20-21 MPG..although he was drafting me most the way.

And drafting a CrewMax is like drafting a football stadium. :jester:

City can vary from 12-17 depending on how I drive it.

Highway I usually get 20-21 MPG.

However I do run a tune (91 Octane)
Pretty Flat highway here in EP
Max Tire Pressure
3.42s
Regular Cab with a 5.3L (Helps mileage)
Always have a clean air filter too.

I can tell I have a dirty air filter just by my mileage dropping 1-2 MPG

Just got 20.2 with the Tahoe on a 440 mile trip this weekend.

Pretty respectable, it sure has been a good rig for us.
