And that was the first time i got crabs...
yeah what he said...
People are frikkin idiots. Cars are 100 times more reliable now than they have ever been yet they complain if their SYNC doesn't work flawlessly or their Bluetooth glitches and doesn't connect fast enough...
Then so called "reliability surveys" come along and rate the vehicles based on these idiots?
No thanks.
I disagree. People are just lazy fucking idiots that want everything to be instant and easy. I've used Ford's sync system and voice activated GPS and it required no manual for me to figure it out. I thought it was pretty cool.People are frikkin idiots. There are some major legit issues with the MyFord Touchy thingy that are not "user error".
Add to that the fact it's terribly designed and not intuitive at all, the ratings are warranted.
A system like that should not have to be "learned". It should be easy enough to use that anyone can use it instantly.
Anyone could pick up an iPhone and use it for what?
Anyone could probably pick it up and place a call or check the internet but ask one of them to pair the phone, turn on tethering, download an app, etc. and you better be ready for a lot of blank stares and confusion.
iPhones are simpler than most but there is a learning curve there and not everything in iOS is intuitive or even the best on the market. There are plenty of spots where iOS gets outperformed hands-down, just ask the Jailbreak community.
Ford's system isn't that difficult if you're someone inclined to understand those sorts of things. If you have no idea what Bluetooth is or how to turn on your home computer, you're probably not going to understand the navigation system just because it's considered intuitive. People are stupid.

It never ceases to amaze me how many "bad reviews" for products are based on the operator not knowing how to use the product. Sadly those idiots have as much influence on the product rating as people who know what they are talking about.
AH, the age of the internet... where every moron has a keyboard and thinks they are an expert.
