I want to install a cb radio and I can't find a existing hole in the firewall to run the wires to the battery, can someone tell me where to find a good place to route the wires?

Use the hole that's there by that other one over there. Not that one, that one.

Under the hood, remove the Throttle Position Sensor. It's an electrical component between the brake booster and the hood hinge.

Drill a hole and install a rubber grommet or stuffing tube. There is no open grommets that I found on my '06 Silverado, don't try stuffing the wire through the big boot, it will only leak and you'll be sorry later on.

See the hole I punched out.

Finished product with the TPS still out of the way, see the grey silicone barely in the pic.

Well, yes and no. In my case I was running several sensing lines and wires through the firewall. Could I have punched a hole in an existing grommet? Probably...

But when you're talking about half assing a $40K truck, it didn't sit well with me doing it that way.

There were no blank or empty grommets in my case so I made my own. Which ever route you take, make double sure that they are sealed up to keep water out and you'll be fine.:tmc:
