I would seriously consider a tune with the old 6.0L... You would pickup a noticeable amount being a topkick tune it probably runs next to nothing on timing.

damn thing needs a diesel....

but that is a awesome truck dude!!!! i loves me some dump truck!

Honestly in this truck I'd rather have gas. It was more affordable of a truck to buy as a gasser and from a maintenance aspect it will be cheaper to repair.

There may be a little more torque but certainly not enough to be noticed...

The gassers are definitely cheaper to repair but the torque difference in the diesel is more than noticeable. I drove for miller, had a really cool guy on the bud route that mirrored my route so we would go together and help each other out most of the day. He had a diesel in the same truck as me and from a stop light next to each other he would have his whole trailer ahead of my tractor before I made it all the way through the intersection.

I would expect the same result if I put up my truck vs a identical truck with a auto tranny.
