Still Here Because I'm Not There
I think that it is cool for this engine to be able to do all of what it is doing.
I think these manufacturer produced head-to-heads are always skewed to make sure the producer is looking good. But I think that even my truck with the 6.2 would have had troubles against the turbo with a 9000 anchor attached to it.
yes, but dont the numbers more closely match between the 6.0 and the 6.2 truck and the eco-boost compared to the 5.3
The numbers would match more closely, but the market positioning would not. Ford has the 3.7 v6, 5.0 v8, EcoBoost v6, 6.2 v8 in their lineup. GM has the 4.3 v6, 4.8 v8, 5.3 v8, and 6.0/6.2 v8's. Ram has the 3.7 (now 3.6 Pentastar) v6, 4.7 v8 and 5.7 v8. I guess they figure the EcoBoost lines up with the 5.3 and 5.7 as the more powerful of the "popular" engine options.
