I think that it is cool for this engine to be able to do all of what it is doing.

I think these manufacturer produced head-to-heads are always skewed to make sure the producer is looking good. But I think that even my truck with the 6.2 would have had troubles against the turbo with a 9000 anchor attached to it.

yes, but dont the numbers more closely match between the 6.0 and the 6.2 truck and the eco-boost compared to the 5.3

The numbers would match more closely, but the market positioning would not. Ford has the 3.7 v6, 5.0 v8, EcoBoost v6, 6.2 v8 in their lineup. GM has the 4.3 v6, 4.8 v8, 5.3 v8, and 6.0/6.2 v8's. Ram has the 3.7 (now 3.6 Pentastar) v6, 4.7 v8 and 5.7 v8. I guess they figure the EcoBoost lines up with the 5.3 and 5.7 as the more powerful of the "popular" engine options. :dunno:

but isnt the 5.7 and the eco the premium engine, you pay more(usually) I would assume(you know what that means) the 6.X would be the same, and match each the Dodge in those cats plus in the HP TQ spec...

I understand Ford wants to look good with this test, but if you are going to do something do it right and fair, that goes for all this pissing match videos....

Have they ever done it fair...

Not to look like a fanboy or anything but with the HD's head to head recently they did it with an independent testing agency.

I don't even know that the 4.3 is even in the game anymore.

You pay more for the 5.3 as well in some models. All three run $700-1000 as options in lower end models, the 5.3 and 5.7 become standard in some higher end models. As far as I know, the EcoBoost isn't standard in any configuration.

From a few reviews, the EcoBoost is a great engine as long as you don't tow often because when towing the gas mileage drops below that of a V8. It pulls great with weight, but being in boost for hours on the highway kills mileage.

I think ecoboost is a great engine design and looks to be built for longevity (only time will tell) and yes it does not sound as great as a V8 but it is going to be better than any small block n/a v8 when it comes to pulling...
