DVD bypass

So im putting in my new HU and was wondering how you bypass the parking brake switch thing to play dvd's without the parking brake engaged. Is it true you can just ground the wire out? I've searched everywhere and have not found a definite answer. Its a Pioneer 3200DVD if that helps.

It depends on the unit... Some you ground out, some need power, some are just fWONked in the brain

Im thinking its just a ground... theres no fuse on the line and if it was 12v i think it would have one

Just wire a grounded switch to the parking brake cable from the HU

i snippid mine off and wired it straight to my grounds... its a JVC

I have mine grounded, start with a ground, because if it is ground and you put power to it, it will most likely fry it...

In my old car, I just ground the wire, it was a pioneer head unit.

That depends on how anal your police are

Get a fancy switch that I can't remember the name of right now...

With it one way, it's grounded out, and the other way hooks to your park brake light
