I had a 94 F150 5.0 that I ran a cheapo 14" generic glasspack on with it exiting in the stock location, and it sounded really good. After the initial break-in, it was pretty loud (almost too loud in the cab) and had a nice deep tone to it. I got a lot of compliments on that exhaust. I am running basically the same thing on this Ram, but went with a longer glasspack so it wouldn't be quite is loud. It is about perfect in my book!
BTW, a Magnaflow is basically a larger diameter glasspack with more packing material around it. More packing material = not as loud.
