The smell of when my truck regens gives me an instant headache/sick feeling, yet I could breath black soot all day and feel fine.... untill I age a little and get cancer I guess....

Particulate matter is a potential cause for lung cancer, but it actually doesn't justify all this panic. The problem is all about that black clouds.
