Re: Penguin, and others, help me pick a speaker setup.

BAM!

http://www.truckmodcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1427

Darrin cut the wires for the speakers that he wanted off of the bose amp and left the rest running through it.

BAM!

Darin left the amp because he was finding conflicting information as well. I know because I have been PM'ing with him back and forth for two days.

Also, he tapped into them on the out side so cutting or keeping them in tact made no difference.

Re: Penguin, and others, help me pick a speaker setup.

They ate in the HU. I have no amps at all

1. No amps at all? I assume you mean no Bose amp.

2. Is the chime amplified too or does it behave like it did prior with the Bose where it's a constant volume despite the volume knob position.

3. I assume you also have full and normal volume control?

I just reallllly want to use the space where the Bose amp is for the 3Sixty but I also will hate to have the system work in a hokey way.

I know you gave me some answers prior, I just wanted to get more info.

So, to be clear, your system works just like it did before, you've just swapped amps and speakers?

What modules have you used? One of my concerns is that one of those modules is using multiple sources of data to output the low-levels with the volume control and chime/warning sounds. Remember, I am not planning on using any of that and there is no ancillary input on the 3Sixty that is not for audio.

Well I don't think he cut all of the wires that went into the amp, just the speaker inputs, so maybe the chimes are one of the other wires. Then again,I remember him saying that the chimes were amplified to a point so that points to the chimes being somewhere else and ran through the speakers.

Actually, that says it could be the HU or the amp that is creating and running the chimes given, I believe, he grabbed signal from the post-amp side.

Besides, the chime is running through the amp one way or the other. The speakers only have on set of wires running into them and those come from the amp.
