Sure, a powerful car is fun at times. A real light and nimble sports car is rewarding to drive in day to day driving. This is what makes the incredibly reliable Miata so much fun.

I remember hearing something on the lines of synthetic oil on these does not fair well. The Apex seals were not designed for synthetic. I'll have to look into it more and see what I can find out.
