Yeah I would have loved to see Ford and Chevy come together on this... BUT I guess we will have to wait and see after the independent tests...

As long as they do the tests and aren't biased towards one or the other

Why does chevy want to do this in the high altitudes of Colorado? Why not do a comparison in more common driving conditions?

The test is nothing more then chest pounding bragging rights for fanboys from both sides. When it's all said and done it may reel in a few "on the fence" shoppers, but in the end a Ford guy is buying a Ford and a Chevy guy is buying a Chevrolet. I could care less if that Chevy pulled down a fWONking building, I'd still buy the Ford and I'm sure there's a 100 of you all that would buy that Cheb even if the Ford pulled a battle ship from here to Japan! :dunno:

Is it weak Ford didn't want to play this little game...Yeah.

Is it weak GM took bail out money...yeah.

This argument could go on forever, sorry guys.

You betcha
GM should just challenge Dodge for it. That's where the real HD competition is anyway. At this point Ford has to prove to the diesel crowd they did this one right. Until then they don't deserve anything.

Maybe for the same reason that Lincoln insisted on testing their forced induction version of the Taurus at pikes peak against naturally aspirated versions of the other cars...

OR...because they want to test braking and GM's FAR superior engine braking system.

As opposed to the $5.9 billion Ford took from the Government?

And GM paid their loans back. The other money was payment for 60% of the company. It was a purchase in the same way you go to the store and purchase milk. You pay money, and n exchange, you get a product.

FAIR WARNING HERE BOYS.

This is not going to spiral into a GM - Ford battle here.

You can take that to the bank.

I'd be surprised if the ford could even make it to the brake contest.

Two of my real good friends are techs at the local ford dealership, everytime i go in there they have a 6.7 that blew up. They are having the same amount of problems that the 6.0s did.
