Your first step, is to pin point where in the engine it is coming from. Then you will have a better idea what to do. It could be something as simple as something rubbing on a rotating part of the engine, that just needs to be pulled off and reattched to its original location, or as bad as a main or rod bearing, but that is a knock more that the sound on the video, from what I can tell. Like I said in my other post, its hard to tell from a video.

I've heard fan clutches and even idler pulley's make a similar sound to that on the video. :dunno:

Yeah I've had guys tell me bad water pump, timing chain tensioner or spun bearing. Once I get it back home I'm gonna have one of my dad's friends that works at a chevy dealer take a look at it for me.

Have they had a chance to diagnose the problem yet? I still have my fingers crossed hoping it's not serious.
