thats a clean truck , i realy think that ford did it right with the ecoboost
if i was to do the motor , iwold'v gone with a 4.0 turbocharged v6...that would be a NA motor for the ranger

no towing for 1000 miles, but the ecoboost has the same tow rating as the 6.2, which is 11,300 when equipped with the max tow package(3.73's, mirrors, trailer brake controller, and something else)

I have the gears, trailer brake, so i think im rated at 9700 or so.

And you need to finish what Ford didn't...make the raised lettering on the engine cover stand out a bit...I took a silver Sharpie to the raised letters on my Crown Vic engine cover(s) (I bought an '03+ for my '01) and it looked great:
