Here are the pics that Jeff wanted to see. They are from my cell phone and no the greatest but show what I am talking about.

Yeah, it's just held on by the double sided 3M tape. Pull it!

As far as the flare goes, it looks like some of the 3M tape has come un-stuck, and they're just sagging. You can get the tape (it's the automotive trim stuff) at any auto parts store, and replace it pretty easily.

I won't guarantee that's your problem, though, so don't blame me if I'm wrong. You can try to pull it back a little but and see if it's stuck, or loose.
