7 consecutive Tour de France victories? Piece of cake. He should try pulling a New Years Eve all-nighter and watch the sun come up over the barbecue pit - now that's commitment.

I think a Honda Civic would be great. They are great cars and can run forever like Jim said. We have a 2002 Civic that we bought brand new for 27K and it has been through hell. Crashed several times, taken off roading, only oil changes done, etc. It now has 180,xxx KM on it and is running like a champ. So a Civic would be your best bet

My daughter's first truck was a used '98 Ford F150 with a huge grill guard on it. Considering all the mailboxes, telephone poles and unsuspecting deer she's hit, it served her well. Ahhhhh I miss those days! not

My first truck was a '93 S-10...I really liked that truck back then. If you want to stay with a truck/suv, I would go with an older Tacoma or 4Runner. :dunno:

I say make her learn a stick now, that way when she gets older she can drive one if ever need be! There have been many times it has paid off for me being able to drive a stick! After that, they say the Honda's last for ever, and they do, the have pretty much bullet proof engines, and all! I learned to drive a 4 speed hatch back cavalier, and then my first car was a 5 speed Toyoda camery with 110+k miles on it.
