Hey Jenna,
Wanted to see what options I have now that I went with a new truck with a diesel. I kept my BB ECM, and may sell that license to my buddy for his Denali. Should be contacting you soon, and using my ECM as the "core" for his tune.

My biggest question is; can my Autocal be used to be a Duramax tune in my new truck? I know that you do not offer them, but I see them on other sites. I still have one license left on mine.

Please let me know what my options are, thanks!

Not sure what you mean by selling the "license" to your buddy? Do you mean from the AutoCal? What year vehicle is yours and his?

Yes, we have partnered with IdahoRob at ATP, and can get a tune done for you via the AutoCal.

I mean I am selling him my BB tuned ECM that I pulled off my truck before I traded. I know it is VIN locked, so I need to deal with that. He wants to keep his stock ECM for dealer trips. We can use my Autocal to install the tune, right?

His is a '12 Denali, mine was an '09 6.0 Silverado HD

I thought I could do 3 VINs on my Autocal. No?

You can certainly sell your ECM to him, however, to tune with the AutoCal, you will have to purchase a license/tune for him. With the autocal, he can return to stock, so you don't even need the spare ECM. The ECMs for the two vehicles are different though. And the TCM is internal to the transmission, so the AutoCal would be his best route.

You can do 8 licenses on your AutoCal, so 8 vehicles.

Understood. Thanks for the info, I have not touched that thing in so long.

Is there a recommended vendor for the DPF and EGR delete parts for mine? You guys, maybe?
