Currently have 2 memphis 10's under my rear seat in a custom box, but looking to upgrade to 2 JL 15's.

Problem is, I have yet to see anyone put 15's under the rear seat and still RETAIN the rear seat. Raising it isnt an issue, but I would prefer to keep the box from sticking a mile out in front of the seat.

Another option I thought about doing was taking the middle seat out of the front and building a center console/speaker box.

Anyone have ANY pictures of 15's in a GMT800 (NBS) ext cab, regardless of location?

Thanks!

what kind of airspace do you have in that box? it looks almost identical to the box I have in my truck. Is your seat raised?

seat is not raised, I have about a cube per sub, everything is stock, sometimes I even put the kid seats back there...its a little under spaced, but it sounds pretty good, I have though of changing it to one 15 to get better sound, but I am just to lazy to make the changes.

Hmm, the 15s I am picking up need 2.5cuft each sealed, or 4.5cuft ported according to JL. I am going to have to get super creative to get that much airspace.

Good luck getting 5cuft!

If there's room, T's idea doesn't sound all that bad....if you can live with cutting the floor. :jester:

I would look at other brands other then.jl unless you have to have them. They are usually the most costly and require a ton of air space. I have been looking at other subs and it is hard to find them to fit my needs. My subs need just over one cube each but I have single chamber box so that helps and as you saw poly filled to the max almost.

I have my 12" Kicker Comp sitting right smack on the top of my back seat and it sounds better than my buddies truck that he has two speakers under his back seat on his newer truck. Wouldn't having the back seat down muffle the sound? Mine sitting on my seat I have it turned down I don't like that hard hitting bass sound I like just when drums come on and so on.
