there really isn't any muffling, I haven't really noticed anything other than more roof flex with the seat up.

Kris roof flex that's awesome there hitting super hard. I seen some guy the other day that he had a 18" speaker in the back of his SUV you should have seen the back hatch door it was torn up because of the speaker hitting hard.

Its not crazy flex by any means, but yeah they down, I have seen some vids posted, man its crazy what happens to some cars, I one where the roof welds came undone and the kid had holes in his roof...I think it was ford explorer...

If I had to do it again I might of went with 12's, and raised the seat maybe 2" and I got some good air space and really had a good system.....

Go to caraudio.com from I have read you have to much poly fill in your box use there search and see what im talking about or just go to yahoo.com and type in poly fill in sub box. Im just wanting you to get the most out of your speakers and box.
Good luck! Roland

its not always a formula to get the sound, its kinda a stuff and see, and this amount sounded the best to me when I stuffed it...I would say most of the time those are great references to start at...

If you're dead set on two 15s, I know the Alpine's only need 1.75 cubic feet each

Or at least, that's what the manual is telling me

I'm going sealed box in mine... For a single 10" :D2
