Add to that the fact that it reduces your ability to maintain control during evasive maneuvers, thereby having a detrimental effect on safety.... just an all around bad idea. Nothing good to be gained...

\/\/All my racing buddys take their sway bar off. The ones that take em off have been lowered or at stock height.

Taking the sway bar off for on-street driving is a horrible idea. There is absolutely NO benefit to removing it.
For offroading, i disconnect my rear sway bar. Thus far i've left the front connected to prevent the CV's from over extending... i'm 50/50 on if its worthwhile to disconnect the front sway bar offroading with an IFS vehicle.

What purpose do your friends say taking off the sway bar serves?
