...I have purchased a set of Bosch Platinum +4 spark plugs for my Tahoe.
The 'hoe rolled 65K, and with all the idle time from remote starting while in AK, I figured it was time for her first tune up. The last tank of fuel yielded only 11 mpg.
I had the trans flushed with Dex VI, changed the oil, changed the fuel and air filter, and tomorrow I will change the plug wires and the plugs.
I had always ran the Bosch Platinum plugs in my old hot rods, since heat range was so broad on them, and I loved them. I have used Bosch wires in several vehicles, with great success, and feel the price is average for a good wire.
With all my later model Chevy/GMC trucks, I only deviated once from using the tried and true Delco platinum plugs, and I regretted it. I put Autolite Platinum plugs in my 8.1 and the mileage was cut in half!
Well, we will see what happens after I run a couple of tanks through the ol' girl, and see if I just made a $6 per plug mistake
