I'll watch this one because I have always been leery of using anything but AC-Delco plugs. Keep us updated.

+1

Tried a set of another brand in my 01 Silverado and didn't like the results at all. I think they were NGK platinum. Ended up buying ACs and replacing them. Let us know how well these perform.

People still change spark plugs??? :dunno:

Hell, the last time I changed spark plugs was in my 89 when it had 90K miles on it. Just because I thought I should. The OEM plugs still looked like new and the new ones made zero difference in power or mileage. My 2000 still has the OEM plugs with 119K on it and it runs like new still.

I suppose I will change the plugs in my 2007 though since it has aluminum heads and I don't want them to seize up in them.

Good point. Over long periods of time plugs can become permanent in alloy heads.

Gm recommends AC delco 41-985 gaped @ .40. Oreilly's has them here for around 6.50 each.

Don, I refuse to gap my plugs at nearly a half inch :D

Sorry about that I left out a zero.

did you see the bulletin,

http://www.acdelcotechconnect.com/pdf/tsb/tsb_03D-J-171.pdf

I was only playin', you know that.

Thanks for the bulletin, great info.

These +4 plugs have no settable gap, if they turn out to be a POS, I will return them to AZ and get the Iridium Delcos.

Well I got it done today, finally. Runs great so far, a bit more snappy when passing. I will run a tank through, and see if I got my mileage back.
