So I have a 02 Super duty and wondering if I should up grade my mirrors to the newer style mirrors or stay with the ones for my truck.

I like the look of the new ones and heard that you can see the blind spot better but aren't as good as the older ones for towing.

Can anyone gimme some input who has used both stlyes??

The new ones do seem to have better vision to 'em.

Can't comment on the towing portion of the new ones.

How often do you tow?

I had one 01`and two 05`s (superduties) and now have an 09`, the new mirrors are several times better of a mirror, in fact I like them better then the tow mirrors on my GMC, more field of view.

If they are a simple bolt on I would highly recommend it!!

ive heard amazing things about the view. people iv talked to say they use the bottom mirror when doing normal driving and not even use the top. thats basically what im doing now with mine.

they will bolt right up but the WILL NOT plug right up. From the looks of it you have just power tow mirrors. the new ones come in non power, power heat and signal, phs and power fold/extend, phs pf/pe and memory.

you will have to pick what setup and then wire them up. even for me going from power heated signal mirrors on my 04 then ill have to add power fold and extend and possibly memory. but....... the mirror themselves run from 500-1000 depending on the options you want and then more if you swap to the newer door panels to get the oem switches.

there is a set of power everything in my area with painted top cap for 650 on clist. then 150 for the switch panel with the memory, pf, and mirror switch on it. thats alotta coin.

you can get some aftermarket ones for around 400 for power heated and signal. but imo to make it worth my time to upgrade im going all out.

after all that ill have a set of power heated turn signal mirrors from an 05 for sale soon haha

All I want is just power mirrors don't want the heated, turn signal or anything like that.
