So why'd you have to tow it home? What's broke?

Wont start and starving for fuel. Getting 11.6 on fuel relay with ohm meter on conitnuity test. Will start on carb cleaner. So it needs fuel pump, 2 tires and hood cable.

Leaks water in both drivers and passenger side floor pans. Gonna start by replacing the door window seals on the water issue.

EDIT: I was already warned by Mac truck mech that carb cleaner ruins pistons.
If it were me. I think I'd see if the damn thing was even going to run before I did anything else to it. :dunno:

I am. Replacing fuel pump. Fuel pump relay has 11.6.

11.6 what?

11.6v on meter doing conitunity test when relay is out.

11.6v on meter doing conitunity test when relay is out.

If the relay is out of the socket, and you are doing a continuity test, it should NOT say 11.6v

-There is no voltage out of the relay socket, so it's physically impossible to get voltage

-Continuity tests are done with the OHMS setting on your meter, not the Voltage setting. This should have been covered in your school you went to

I had it on ohms setting out of the socket.

EDIT: 120 ohms

So, it has 11.6v when on the straight ohms scale? Okay, well, are you auto-ranging, on the Meg ohms scale...? If it is 11.6 ohms across the coil of that relay, it sounds fine. If it is 11.6 MEG ohms of resistance across that relay, I would say she is done. All you have done is verified the coil isn't open (if you are in fact going across the coil), but I am not sure how you are using your meter, or what points you are checking on that relay. There should be 4 terminals. Which 2 did you test?

Got 4 points

30 to open close to 87
85 to86

ohm meter leads on 86 and 85 is 120 ohms.

Okay, well, you said 11.6 v so this is definitely different. Coil sounds fine to me

Ok, Bad fuel pump then. I been saying bad fuel pump all along but my buddy says it still be spark issue. Car will start on carb cleaner.
