I just wanted to update you folks on progress with my wimpy 454. The rig had tire shredding power up to 55 MPH where it dropped off into the crapper. Multiple attempts to fix, test, and adjust, yeilded no benefit. I finally had the fuel pump pressure tested and the rig was within factory specs passing the test. I said what the heck and replaced the fuel pump. Problem solved. The 3500 now runs the nuts all the way up to redline. The moral of the story is occasionally trust your gut, not the guage.

Next time I am home I will do a tire shredder for you. Sounds like fun. Of course I'll start the video with...."hold my beer and watch this". Some day I will build a suitable engine for the truck using a 70's vintage block and heads as a foundation most likely. My son is trying to talk me into a diesel mod to the old girl. I'd just buy a newer Duramax if I want to go back to diesel power. Hard to improve on that.

Not many folks have them as DD. trucks with the BBs generally were work trucks, or towed peoples trailers for a bit. gramps we should do some hunting for some BB truck owners.
