not good enough. stick a cam and healthy ported heads on her.

In most cases you dont have to do anything with a diesel to get the same results as modded gasser...

Except that diesel will never turn 8000 rpm, and never sound as sweet.

It depends on personal preferences... When a diesel only needs 4500 rpms to reach a 10 second 1/4 mile thats impressive..

Race fuel dragsters are ok... but thats all they can do...

It also has a turbocharger. :dunno:

My bigblock has gobs of low end pull for a gasser, but it is not designed for speed. A small block would eat it up in speed. I had a 2004 Duramax and loved it. That said it is apples and oranges when it comes to the difference between the two. I usually don't have a load in tow and find the average driving pleasure of a bigblock is most rewarding.

I was actually gonna point that little fact out last night. I had about 4 sentences strung together and decided it wasn't worth the effort. That was my Nevermind post.:dunno:

No no no, you're looking at this backwards.

Put the same size turbo on a big block, and then compare. :D2

Yeah PROUD big block owner here. Diesels are alright if you like rattling and stinky diesel fuel. I agree a big block is more fun to drive.

I have had several BB's in the past.
I have always been very partial to the Big Blocks.
