Sweet Ride!

It's different, that's why I like it! That makes it cool.
I bet it does run pretty good. Do you know how much it weighs?

According to what iv found-in a orginal 78 chevy monza cailiolet-its suppose to be bout 2600lbs(fully loaded)- and that is with a 305 and i got a 350 in it but a lighter rearend.. right down the street from me we have a dump site and they can weigh it for me so soon as i can i'll have it weighed. If i get 300horses hitting the back tire which i have at least that(o-i forgot to mention i have a ram cold air dual inlet breather that takes air from the outside-that i'm putting on it two)according to a site it said that firgures weight-horse power...calculations it should be a mid 12second at least-i can actually beat alot of high torque and horsepower vehicles just because how light it is.The viper trk reg cab with 500horses i can beat and its one of the fastest trks around it can do the quarter in 13seconds but weighs 5,000lbs.Thats the reason i got it and heck i found one with a good 350 in it already-Hotrod-guided me to picking it...He said they was light weight and some come with v-8 and he was right. And yes its a 350-i ran the numbers-its not the orginal engine.

Does it matter what head gasket you use-esp. if its a 350 block and 305 heads?I'm thinking just a stock head gasket-nothing thinner or thicker for a 350 would work.Any input out there?

I had once upon a time a 78 trans am-that i yanked out the 400 that was in it and put in a rebuilt 1970 455 olds rocket with "ALL" the trimmings and ran on 105 octane-it was a bad rod two-looked like crap til you popped the hood...then-WOW! I would pull up to vettes and i knew i would blow their doors off yet no matter how i taughted them to just try they would'nt race they thought it would'nt be worth spending the gas to race a beat up looking T/A---lol-If i would of just got one to try-lol

I plowed into the ass end of one of those Monzas back in '78. It was really a compact car then. I hit it with a gigantic '70 Chrysler 300 doing 45 mph.
