It runs and drives and was $1950.00-it just looks mean-it still needs some tlc but good 350 engine an good 350tranny-it was kinda of a unexpected buy-but had the cash and these look pretty bad all fixed up.it is over carb by new 750 holly and has accel dist-performer intake-headers-power sterring...----need ya'll opion i have two older model trks this one 63 chevy stepside an a 70 c10-i might have to decide which to keep-the 70 c10 just needs the tranny put in and tires an paint-the 63 chevy stepside well its like i said runs and drives but just needs some tlc and not sure from there. the reason is the 400 tranny hot rod is building (which is pretty bad a)and the 454 that i got in the garage just needing money to rebuild to be puy in one of the trks-so what ya'll think 63 chevy or 70 c10 as the keeper? both have good bodies and next to nothing body work and not much but surface rust. like to hear from ya'll on this the misses was rrrrrrrr! when i got the 63 yesterday but i said to her i could turn the 63 for 2 x what i paid for it an not put much in it-or-just sale the 70 c10 with a good engine hoped up but no tranny.

My plans(don't tell the wife) was to do the 63 and hav the 454 built an put in it with the 400 tranny hot rod is doing for me.probably leave rearend alone-i think an i havent checked but i think rearend is 3.08 one legger-im going to check that out today-the guy i bought it from claim it was 4.11 but i don't think so-he said the 350 engine an tranny was rebulit 5 yr ago and been in stroage the whole time-tranny has a shift kit and it does hav aftermarket engine parts-im going to run the numbers on the engine-it be sweet if it was a 327 an could be he didnt know just was told it all was 350 350.the dip stick is on passenger side.

Im trying to fix a wiring thing on the 63 chevy stepside-its the wire from inside the cab to the starter-its a 4 plug and the purple wire i think is suppose to go to starter-none of the wires hav volts but one and its green-does anyone know if the purple wire gets current with ing. on that goes to the starter or does it actually have to be ingauged(trying to start it for it to get volts)-im thinking the other wires go to the blinkers... but doesnt none receive current til activated-except the green wire. So its the purple wire to the starter and its not receiving current til i try to start-just like the blinker wires wouldnt til blinking---anyone know is this right?
