Regardless, I wouldn't worry about it until it starts running hot.

Found the lose of coolant issue. Water pump decides it wants to drip water now after I shut the truck off. But it wont drip after 1.5 quarts of water though.

If your water pump just knows to stop dripping after 1.5 quarts, it must have an IQ of a hundred and fifty!

Not only that! It's leaking into the exhaust! That's a hell of a water pump.

Actually it could be dripping just that much, or fairly close to it, everytime, and I will explain too. Basically a hot leak versus a cold leak. A cold leak drips when the engine/components are not at operating temperature. A hot leak leaks when the engine/components ARE at operating temp. If it is a hot leak, then it COULD leak only 1.5 quarts, and stop leaking when the engine cools off. But most likely, he just does not know what the hell he is talking about.:dunno:
