I almost bought an 06 (new back then) single cab dually silverado (Vic red) with the 8.1.

Not to pull anything, just because I wanted to slam it and stuff some big rig wheels under it. I still wish I had done it

I regret selling it, to this day. She was really something. That is the most restricively tuned platform GM has. Once you do a tune, and open up the exhaust and intake on an 03-06, it is just incredible...it is the most dramatic change of any of my trucks I have done this to.

Ordered two new marker light assemblies,

and new wiper blades. They come with the hoses on them, which is all I really need to make my washer stuff work. You cant find that tiny hose around here.

Also pulled the radiator, Been having a leak that I cant pinpoint, so I'm getting the radiator checked tomorrow at the rad shop in town. While I'm at it, I'll be buying new upper and lower radiator hoses, as well as the heater hoses and the overflow hose. I never bought new ones back when I rebuilt the engine, so they will be all new and I wont have to worry about them leaking.

No, I got it from my dad, its a heavy duty four core rad, no idea the age or where it came from

radiator leaks r easy to find i you got it out. just get a old bike tube and cut out 2 pieaces of it one with the stem and one thats just a pieace . make sure they are big enough yo cover the inlet and out let. hose clamp them on and add air presure the donk it in water or get a water bottle with water and soap in it and spray it down and watch for bubbles.

this works on heater cores too. if you cant fine the leak let it sit and check the air pressure in an hour or so and if if didnt drop you should be ok be sure not to go over the psi the radiator it made for by more then a couple of pounds.

Went ahead and dropped it (the radiator) off at the Radiator Shop....guy showed me where its leaking right when I took it out of the bed of my truck. Leaking on the seal on the side. Said he'll clean it out, fix the seal, and have it ready by the afternoon.

$35 bucks.

Also stopped and bought 12' of heater hose (only needed about 7' but they come in 6' sections), bought coolant, new upper and lower hoses, and 3/8's rubber hose for the tank. Tried to find a new petcock with grommet but couldnt find one for my application on the rack...

$50 bucks.
