DUDE! You kep teasing with these pics! You should start a thread on that thing! I know its gone but still!

I hear you on the mileage. I know if I'm only getting 11-12mpg on a rebuilt 350, then the 454......

If it was still in my possession and driveable I would, but it's totaled now and parked. The hard part is every time I go get the RV or do some work on it I see the '77.Man I had a lot of fun in that thing for the fifteen years I drove it.

I'd still love to see the life and times of it! It's too bad the thing is gone.

Big block trucks are great. Somewhere, I have my scale ticket from Memorial Day 2005 where we were loaded up, and weighed 12,500 # on 4 tires, pulling a 3400 # boat and trailer. That truck did awesome. I think I got about 4 MGP that week.

That one I remember, isn't that the one you had when I joined GMT in Sept. '08?...I thought you had an older one.

I joined before that, but I had a 900 when I joined (the Blue one). That 2500 is what I had before the 900. Before the 2500 HD in that pic, I had a '98 GMC 2500 with the Vortec 454.

I almost bought an 06 (new back then) single cab dually silverado (Vic red) with the 8.1.

Not to pull anything, just because I wanted to slam it and stuff some big rig wheels under it. I still wish I had done it
